Chevron Scarf

I wanted to copy this Cold Water Creek Scarf

Size 17 needles. 12 3/4 mm
Cable needle

Worked flat



Used red heart super saver doubled off white
Sport weight yarn held triple burgundy
I used a miraculous elastic bind off

Cast on 32  stitches  long tail method
Or any multiple of 4

Purl next row

Note slip all stitches purl wise


Row 1: ( rs) slip first stitch on cable needle hold in back, knit stitch on left needle, slip the stitch off the cable needle onto the right needle, slip next stitch on left hand needle onto cable needle hold in front, slip next stitch on left hand needle to right hand needle, knit stitch on cable needle repeat.

( so when done you will have knit slip slip knit)

Rule of thumb for rows 2 to 4 slip the slip stiches purl the other stitches on wrong side knit the other stitches on right side.

Row 2: ( ws) p slp, slp, p to end

Row 3: k slp,slp, k to end

Row 4: ( ws ) p slp,slp, p

Change colors and repeat these four row until you run out of yarn lol

The stiches stay the same color yarn after row 1 (so white stitches are white, red stitch are red)
