Cast on 22
Row 1 and 2 Knit 1, Purl 1 reapeat Until end of row in a round.
Row 3 and 4 Purl 1 Knit 1 repeat until end of row.
Repeat. Rows one through 4 four times ( a total of 16 rows )
This is the thumb gusset
Turn piece and knit like it is a flat piece for 4 rows
Then knit in round row one through 4 twice ( a total of 8 rows) yarn left for the owl eyes and tuffs of ears.
Bind off purl wise.
To start eyes make 4
I split the hometown yarn scrap into four sections. Using one section Crotchet a circle with size f hook.
Chain 3 triple crochet into bottom loop 11 times. Slip stitch into chain stitch. This makes the iris.
I used a off white sports yarn for the white part of the eye. Make 4
F hook
Chain 3 triple crochet in bottom loop 15 times. Slip stitch into chain stitch
Row 2 chain 1, single crochet into triple stitch, two single crochet into each triple crochet stitch. Slip stitch into last stitch.
Pupil: chain 3 join stitch. Make 4
Beak make 2
Chain 9
Skip first chain single chrochet into next stitch and every other chain stitch total 7 single crochet
And one chain single crochet.

Pick the best point for the point that shows. if it looks other points lookslightly wonky just hide them under the eyes.
Save all scraps until done to make tuffs for owls ears.
First sew on beaks, shape them so they appear to be coming off the surface.
Make sure thumb holes point at each other. Before starting to sew on parts.
Then off white eyes covering part of the beak.
Then irises
Then pupil
Then make feet with white yarn at bottom.
Tuffs for ear split yarn so it looks fluffy.
